It keeps the body warm without adding bulk, and at the same time offers an excellent thermal balance so there is no build-up of heat inside the jacket. In addition, the outer layer of the Schöffel jacket is made from Pertex® Quantum material, which is extremely light and hard-wearing at the same time. So the ski touring jacket won't add to the weight on the ascent. The Schöffel jacket has an integrated pack-away bag so it packs down small. A breast pocket with zip and an inner pocket made from mesh provide safe storage for lip balm and other items.
