If you consent to our using your data for marketing, we will use it for direct marketing, such as processing your subscription to our newsletter, or taking part in competitions or events, and for sending emails with information about our products and services (e.g. information about topics in Schöffel's blog).

4. If you have consented, we will also collect and use automatically generated data, including, in particular, information about your computer and operating system, day and time of your visit, pages viewed, and orders. (see also B.1.)

5. Your registration, order or user data will only be processed by people in the relevant functions who need the data to comply with our legal and contractual obligations or to protect and assert our legitimate interest.

6. C. Purpose of data processing / Recipient(s) / Legal basis

We collect and process your personally identifiable information in compliance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz, BDSG) and other data protection regulations for the following purposes:

1. Your registration and ordering data are used to process your purchases and execute the contracts agreed between us. This includes all processes associated with the sale of goods that are necessary to fulfil a contract of purchase or to enable performance prior to entering into a contract. Orders cannot be submitted without disclosing your personally identifiable information. Further, the data is used to provide after-sales services to customers and in response to requests for information.

2. The requisite data needed to perform the relevant tasks in each case – customer service, shipment, payment – is forwarded to carefully selected service providers, such as logistics companies, payment service providers or customer service providers (call centres). These service providers are bound by contract to respect the confidentiality of your data and to only use it for the agreed purpose, such as shipping, processing payment, or providing customer service.

Google AdWords Conversion-Tracking

Our website uses Google Conversion Tracking. If you were referred to our website by an advert placed by Google, Google Adwords will set a cookie on your computer. The conversion tracking cookie is set if a user clicks on an advert placed by Google. These cookies become invalid after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If a user visits certain pages on our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can see that the user clicked on the advert and was referred to this page. Each Google AdWords customer is given a different cookie. As such, cookies cannot be tracked from one AdWords customer’s website to another. The information collected with the aid of the conversion cookie is used to compile conversion statistics for those AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers are notified of the total number of users who clicked on their advert and were taken to a page with a conversion tracking tag. They do not receive any details that would enable personal identification of a user. If you wish to opt out of tracking, you can refuse the requisite cookie – either by changing your browser settings to generally deactivate cookies or to block cookies from "googleleadservices.com". Please bear in mind that you must not delete opt-out cookies as long as you do not want measuring data to be recorded. If you delete all the cookies in your browser, you must reactivate the relevant opt-out cookie.

By activating IP anonymisation on Schöffel's blog, Google first abbreviates your IP address if you are in a member state of the European Union or other contract parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Complete IP addresses are only transmitted to a Google server in the USA in exceptional instances, and are then abbreviated there. Google uses this information to evaluate website utilisation on behalf of a website operator, to compile reports about website activities, and to provide a website operator with other services related to the utilisation of the website and internet. The IP address disclosed by your browser to Google Optimize is not collated with other data held by Google. Please click here to opt out.

G. Social plug-ins and social connect

Social plug-ins from the providers listed below are used on our web pages. You can recognise these plug-ins by the appropriate logo marking. Data – which may include personally identifiable information – can be sent to, and may be used by, the provider of the service via these plug-ins. We use a 2-click solution to prevent the unconscious and unintentional collection and transfer of data to the service provider. To activate a social plug-in intentionally, you must first click on the appropriate button. The collection of information and transfer to the service provider is only triggered once you have activated the plug-in. We do not collect any personally identifiable information through the social plug-ins nor any data about their usage. We have no means of influencing the data collected by an active plug-in nor the use of the same by the provider. At present, we assume there are direct connections linking to the provider's services, and that at least the IP address and computer-relevant information is collected and utilised. Equally, the service providers may try to store cookies on your computer. To learn more about the specific data that is collected, and how it is used, please consult the privacy policies of the relevant service providers.

Note: If you are also logged into Facebook, Facebook can identify you as a visitor to a specific site. We have incorporated the social media buttons of the following companies into our website: Facebook Inc. (1601 S. California Ave - Palo Alto - CA 94304 - USA). We also use the "Facebook Connect" function. If you want to use this function, you will first be taken to Facebook where you will be requested to log in with your user name/phone and password. We do not obtain any knowledge of your login data, of course. If you are already logged into Facebook this step is skipped. Facebook will then tell you which data is transferred to us (public profile, list of friends, email and current domicile). You confirm this transfer by clicking on the "OK" button. We use the transferred data to create a customer account for you. Obviously, we do not store your list of friends. Above and beyond this link, no permanent connection is established between your customer account with us and your Facebook account. For details of the purpose and scope of data collected by Facebook, its further processing and utilisation of your data, your rights in this respect, and your setting options for protecting your privacy, please go to https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

Schöffel uses "YouTube plug-ins" on its websites. The YouTube software uses cookies to collect data and for statistical analysis. Some of the cookies used by YouTube aim to collect reliable video statistics, avoid fraud, and improve user friendliness. YouTube cookies provide website operators with statistics about individual videos embedded on the website, without reference to the relevant user. We use embedded YouTube videos in extended data protection mode. That means YouTube does not store cookies for a user who loads a website with embedded YouTube video player but does not click on the video to play it. If a user clicks on the YouTube video player, YouTube may store cookies on their computer but will not store any personally identifiable cookie information for purposes of playing embedded videos. We do not collect any personally identifiable information through embedding YouTube videos.
